New cabinets and drawers for the Portal Shelving System
We’re turning 15 and celebrating by further developing Portal, our beloved shelving system that has been at the heart of what we do since the very beginning. Say hello to new drawers and cabinets for the Portal Shelving System!
It all started with a shelf that was missing. When our CEO Josefine was running her first store in Stockholm, she designed her own shelving system, easy to assemble, simple to rebuild and with an airy expression. Shortly after, customers started asking if the shelving system was available to purchase and in 2011 the Portal Shelving System was launched.
Since then, the system has grown together with all of you who use it. New colours, heights and functions have been added, always with the same core idea remaining, a flexible system that lasts over time and can evolve with the home.
In connection with our anniversary, we are presenting the biggest development of Portal so far. New cabinets and drawers are launching for the Portal Shelving System. We are introducing new wall mounted modules, new knobs for drawers and several existing variants have been further developed to become easier to ship, assemble and use.

For us, development is not about changing Portal, but about refining what already works. If you already have drawers, for example, it will be possible to update them with new fronts instead of replacing the entire piece of furniture.
